The Light Aircraft Company is an aeronautical engineering company, its focus is on precision engineering and fabrication and is one of the few light aircraft manufacturers in the United Kingdom.

 

TLAC manufactures 3 different aircraft types and 8 different variants and sells globally, either as kits which a customer can assemble or as finished ready to fly aircraft.

Work Placements

 

At TLAC we have opportunities that can help you take your ideas, ambitions and education to the next level. We can offer Work Placements that will involve you in real-life projects, working with engineers, working on technical challenges and product developments, giving you in-depth hands on experience.

 

Undergraduate Work Placement (12 months)

 

A 12 month undergraduate placement working at one of the few A8-1 and A8-9 CAA approved light aircraft manufacturers in the UK. Working on real-life aircraft development, on both airframe and power plant development.

 

Requirements

 

A strong pre-university academic record

A predicted 2.1 degree in related field

To have a good working knowledge of Solidworks CAD software

Have a "can do" attitude to all aspects of company life

 

Benefits

 

A salary of £14,000 pa and the chance to work within a professional light aircraft manufacturing organisation, to develop your skills, get hands on experience and to be involved in advancing light aircraft manufacturing in the UK.
